Biography

Rick Gott is an independent creator and producer of the successful Dark Pool-The Web Series, a new media series designed for the web. It can be viewed at “darkpoolfilm” on You Tube. Rick is also a long time teacher of acting and film at the prestigious Natomas Charter School-Performing And Fine Arts Academy in Sacramento, California.

As a playwright in New York, Rick’s play “Falsies” was produced Off-Broadway at The Manhattan Punchline to an an extended run. His work was also seen in revues directed by Jerry Saks, starring Jane Curtain, David Mathau and Louise Lassar.

In two short years, Rick’s award winning web series, “Dark Pool” has garnered five awards from the LAWebFest in 2012,(Best Overall Sci-Fi Series, Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Composition, and Best Ensemble Cast) and in 2013, “Dark Pool” won the Grand Prize, an early selection to be screened and compete at The Marseilles WebFest in France. Recently, Dark Pool was selected to also screen at the Marseilles WebFest’s prestigious “Another Look,” category, a private screening for industry professionals. This on-going series is the first from the Sacramento based company, “Indie Episodic,” a web series studio without walls dedicated to the creation of new web content with the intent to sell series television.

In Season Three of Dark Pool, the show was proud to announce the addition of Jack Gallagher and Elisabeth Nunziato to the cast. Elisabeth is a superb actress with over 400 theatre credits, as well as hundreds of local and national commercials.

Jack Gallagher is a well-known stand-up comedian, actor and writer and can be seen as Larry David’s doctor on the HBO hit show, “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Update-Dark Pool is proud to announce that it has been chosen as an official selection at the Vancouver WebFest, and has been given three nominations at the “Indie Series Awards” in Hollywood. Congratulations to Sierra Hersek, Jason Kuykendall, and Lynn Malmberg for their noms!
